Actually we mite know in one year already, since I perdict GT5 will sell 7.5 million lifetime.

don't worry, europeans love their GT it will do 5 million in europe alone, it doesn't matter the userbase it will likely grow with the game.

Well i was using that list to prove a point, and i justified myself with this:

That list doesn't have too much to do with popularity seeing how some of those franchises have tons of games, nor does it take into account possible bundling, so would you honestly agree by that list, that need for speed series is twice as more popular than GT???

that a big launch had to happen GT4 to sell over 2.5 million in a week. and the same for GT 3

A 100%!!  When GT5 releases we will know for sure which is more popular, i really don't think GT5 will sell more than halo 3, it seems rather impossible.

thank you, I hope you did not take offense to my above post as it was not meant that way. Anywho, what was the console install base at that point in time? in order to get truly objective numbers one would have to divide the number of consoles sold by the number of games sold, in other words, how many games sold per console? Of course the flaw in that formula is it doesn't take into account the bundle numbers, this is a bit more tricky to figure out because from what I hear GT3 was heavily bundled.
