Beause Warhawk is actually one of the best games this gen. The graphics are good, the controls are very good, the balance is decent, the ranking design is very deep. I love the gameplay; Warhawk is just fun to play.

Why do we care? We actually like the game. You are entitled to your opinion of the game, but just because you hate it doesn't mean everyone else does. =)

Warhawk is hands down the best online multiplayer game of this generation. If you take the time to learn it that is. And you're not going to be able to pick it up and own everyone. It takes far longer to learn than any other game I've played (the ability to hold 9 primary weapons simultaneously takes some getting used to) and there are some people out there who are absolutely insane. The game's controls are very customizable (not complete control like Wipeout for example, but adequate) so the statement that they are terrible leaves me no choice but to assume you have never played the game. The textures are bad compared to many other 7th gen games, but they're far better than most games last gen. In fact, I've seen a fair amount of people use Warhawk's graphical realism as the low-end of what is considered a true "current gen" game. As for balance, learn the ****ing game. If you're good at playing it, the game is balanced. Period. If you totally suck at it, the Warhawks will own you every time.

If you don't want to invest the time to learn the game, that's all well and good, but don't make blanket criticisms of something you have little or no experience with.

l've read your complaints about the ranking system, and yeah i'm inclined to agree with your complaints. I don't really care about the ranking though, as I haven't played outside the vgc league warhawk matches in ages. There are some absolutely rediculously good players on public servers. The game itself is fun when playing similarly-skilled players, which is a challange when joining pubs. I find the game to be very balanced, and while the graphics are nothing special, the game engine is quite good. Controls are fine when setup to your liking, defaults are awful.

One of the worst games this gen? Not by a long shot.

I'm a fan of Freespace 1 and 2 myself though I highly doubt that this will be anything like that, but instead feel more like Warhawk in a different setting. Though not like that's a bad thing since I've had some fun moments in Warhawk.

I got my first taste of space battle with Starfox, and I loved it.
