Good thing Nintendo isn't even competing with them according to Microsoft and Sony. Just let them fight it out till one of them dies.

Denial Denial Denial...Nexbox will be here, and sony will still be trying to spin how successful the ps3 is going to be...at the end of the 10-year plan...
I´m so proud of MS I really like then as a company even though I´m not that into the 360.
Hahaha, from 1:26 to 1:3... I'd say the culprit is Sony with its low PS3 sales compared to the PS3 sales... and some JRPG's that MS bought for their console. Otherwise, the result would be the same once more.

Throwing millions at something and having barely anything to show for it is not what I would call amazing. Name 1 game coming out in Japan for the 360 in the next six months that is going to sell. At the launch, Peter Moore said they would be number 1. lolz. |
Yes can you give me a link where they said they would be number one in Japan????
All in all no matter what spin you try. 360 gained ground, throwing millions did help considering they made profit for 2008(all together) and made Japan a pretty insiginifigant region where before it was SONY land.

What double standard? I thought it was common knowledge that Sony doesn't pay for exclusivity for games, they might take over as publisher and fund the projects but never go straight out and just write a cheque. |
Do you really want to put your posting credibility on the line by standing by what you just typed? You obviously paid no attention to the PS1 and PS2 era, didn't you?

Take heed, MS isn't doing anything that Sony didn't do last gen. Stating things such as this only kill credibility. Double standards are not a strong-suit for Sony.

Yes, much better. Only they had a big head start, have cut the cost of the system massively, and spent a fortune buying exclusives, none of which have put out. As it stands now, HW and SW is getting owned, with no big games on the Horizon, and owners with nothing to look forward to but E74. Great. |
1) The head start was much smaller than the PS2-Xbox head start
2) They've cut the cost massively? Actually PS3 and Xbox have cut their prices fairly equally percent-wise since launch... The difference is the Xbox is in it's 4th year, so those kinda price cuts are more justified. (People act like they've slashed prices... only the most successful consoles ever have not had big cuts after 3 years)
3) The exclusives they bought paid off in spades. How? All these JRPGs would likely have bolstered PS3 sales if MS hadn't ponied up the cash. MS stated that their goal was crushing Sony. Taking wind out of Sony's sales is a victory. They only need the Xbox brand to break even to make it worthwhile to them... whereas Sony's entertainment division is critical to Sony's overall financial health.
4) You're also ignoring Sony's MASSIVE advantages going in. Sony fanboys love to pretend that MS had every advantage and thus isn't winning by much considering - but Sony came into this fight with a MUCH bigger brand/fanbase and practically a chokehold on Europe and Japan.
5) E-74 is being made an issue by Sony fanboys. virtually noone actually knows a real person effected by E-74.
