Donkey Kong Country is easily my favorite game of all time. I love the second one too. I just got the third one on VC, and I haven't gotten into it as much. It's still really cool though.

Banjo Kazooie was fun. Really, really fun, but not as fun as DKC.

I haven't played Conker's BFD, so I can't judge it.

Conker especially...why is this even being considered?

Conker is considered because it is an excellently written platformer. Sure its gameplay doesn't really stack up with the other two but it makes up for it with some truly amusing characters and moments.

Haven't played the others, but I'd rank those ones in that order. The original CBFD had a great deathmatch multiplayer mode which got overlooked but was great fun. I had loads of fun with the dinosaur multiplayer mode too. The surfing was also good.

The teddiz vs squirrels mode with the bots was good for hours of solo multiplayer action as well. I loved CBFD!

Well the Donkey Kong Country is a classic and one of the all time best 2D platform games.

Conker and Banjo are some lame games from the N64 generation.
