That was an emotional roller coaster.

I'm upset. Not the fact that they lost, because the Blackhawks are a very good team........but in the way they lost. This entire year, the team was good defensively (minus January) and in this series, they sucked (pardon my phrasing).....ass.

All throughout the year this team was defense first, it was drilled into them, and then they go and play disappointing D.......it just sucks.

And Luongo, our Captain. He's supposed to step it up and take over the game........he didn't (although, to be fair he didn't have much help today). Makes me wish he went to Trevor and learned a thing or two about stepping up when your team needs you.

Best of luck to Chicago, especially if they face Detroit (I'd pick the Ducks over the Hawks though).

Hopefully Lucic and the B's can rebound, or both my teams will be out. In that case, I'll throw my support behind the winner of the Pens/Caps series (I'd prefer the Caps, cuz I like Ovy, but I've got nothing against the Pens).

I realize I sound very bitter now, but I'll get over it in a couple days. Looking back, before this season started, I thought this team would be a bubble team for the playoffs. If you told me that we would win the division, and a playoff round, I'd be ecstatic. But right now, it just hurts.

At least your team made it to the 2nd round. My team, arguably the most talented Sharks team in team existance, put forth a horrific performance to choke massively in the first round. The scars will never heal

I have to admit that I didn't think that the Hawks would get past this round before it started, but I am extremely excited that they have. I believe that they may be in for some trouble next round, but I already thought that way for the round that just passed so who knows? *throws hands up in a state of confusion*

They are talented and young. That much I do know.

izaaz - earlier you said canucks cant keep losing steam late in the game. i dont think that was ever the case. the hawks always were mediocre in the first period as this series has shown. only once out of 6 games they scored first. the team would always rebound in the late going during season play.

also that brashear hit - it was late, it was an elbow, it was a head shot, im pretty sure he targetted him, and it broke the guys orbital bone. i think 6 games was generous. i think if you intending injure someone and its pretty obvious your trying just that you should be out for as long as they are. also the caps didnt get punished at all. it allowed them to reactivate one of their best players. brashear averaged less than 3 minutes of ice time... no loss really. and wasnt the ranger who got injured one of their better players?

betts (the ranger) was a 4th liner but was the top penalty killer on the team. so in essence he was one of the better players considering he was the reason we had the 1st/2nd best pk in the league. so yeah it really sucked losing him considering caps had the best or 2nd best pp in the league. after betts got injured caps were 2-2 on the pp that game. SUCKS! but yeah brashear getting suspended was good for them since he sucks.

Pens are the first team to go the conf finals after losing the SCF in over a decade.

Hangover my ass.

Update: I also want a moratorium on talk about the Flyers or Caps as the best young team in the NHL until they actually beat the Pens. The Blackhawks, however, still have a case.

I don't care who wins this series.  I just hope that game 7 goes into quintuple overtime.
