Pro or Anti?

if Pro, which of the following types do you think we should use:

Tidal Power
Solar Power
Nuclear Power
Wind Power

i think there are alot more too, if you like one thats not on the list, just post and ill add it.

Me, im very pro renewable energy, im anti nuclear though (i consider it too dangerous)

Nuclear isn't very dangerous at all.

I am pro all of them. I favour Solar and tidal over nuclear and wind.

from what i understand, we have no way to safely dispose of nuclear waste, which is very dangerous? not to mention the risk of a meltdown at a nuclear site.

Nuclear meltdowns are like train crashes. Very rare but devastating when they do happen. I agree with you on the disposing of the nuclear waste, which is why I favour solar and tidal over nuclear power.

I'm for all of them except nuclear.

Nintendo still doomed?

Im against renuable energy.

I support nuclear energy because it's cheaper, it's friendly towards the environment (u just drill a deep hole to put the waste), it can allow making atomic bombs as a side effect, and I find it exciting that there's a small risk of nuclear meltdown á la Chernobyl.

use whats best for the location within reasonable cost.  generally... a combination.

Uranium minings isn't that great for the environment but it sure does beat alternatives.  I am for all the renewable energies stated.  Nuclear really isn't renewable but it produces vast power compared to all others.  If I remember correctly about 108 or so nuclear plants in USA produce about 18-20% of the total power.  So if we just built 200-300 more nuclear plants then we would have a shitload of power cranking out (which we could use to produce Hydrogen Gas which is getting more efficient to produce).  Then we can say F OPEC and other countries like Venezuela (etc..)  We have a shitload of Coal reserves also....

Even then the effects of nuclear meltdowns are very overexagerrated.

I'd be surprised if anyone was anti-renewable energy by the way.  It's just that even with the best funding they won't be viable on a large scale for 10+ years outside of Nuclear.

Me.  I'm short term Nuclear, long term Solar.

Solar, because with the right collection plates you can get power anywhere theoretically.

Everything else including wind power is far too location specific.

Pro all of the above.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
