Forums - Nintendo - EFFF you Ubi, and your Petz.

    Last night, I was watching TV, and guess what edvertisement came on? It was Petz Catz and Dogz for DS! And it wasn't just once, it was every commercial break... They paid so much damn ads for shovelware, and showed ZERO gameplay footage. They just showed a bunch of stupid dogs and cats looking into the TV. And yet I still haven't seen a NMH commercial... The worst part of the whole deal is, my mom goes "what a cute game". I immeadiately did a facepalm and said: "That shovelware? It's stupid. You didn't even see the game.", and then she said "I don't care, it looked cute".

    Luckily, my mom consults me on buying games 98% of the time, so that atrocity won't step box inside of our house... But it just angers me how Ubi once again diahrreahs their shitty games everywhere, and acts like the actual good Wii games (that aren't Raving Rabbids), don't EXIST.

Anyone else see any stupid commercials?

It is not stupid if it works on the target audience.

My twin cousins that are 9 (or 10) have Petz Bunnies on DS. That's the target audience. They like it.

It doesn't matter if they advertise their shovelwares if they did the same for the good games (and they didn't).

What were you watching? Advertising is usually targeted toward the projected audience. In other words, ESPN gets different game ads than Nick.

Also, just remember that not all games are targeted toward 18 year old males. Neither are all movies, books, songs, etc. Somehow, people can except that for other forms of entertainment but seem to have a sense of entitlement regarding video games.

I have heard that Petz Sports for the Wii is pretty good. Anybody played it?

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

@ksv:

Kids at that age also like to "Play" games when their controllers have no batteries still.

Yeah, sounds like a great move on Ubisoft's part.

@ Mike... idk... I think it was ABC family? hell, I don't even know what the show was, because I was eating... It was somewhat late for kids to be up though...

If it gets advertising i don't believe you can classfy it as shovelware.

LCEC -- when were you eating?
