Well, I mean ordinary in the way that Spill.com would give a film "matinee" or "rental" as a rating for a movie.  There were scenes in MGS4 I did like.  I thought they were very well executed.  BUT, this is by VIDEOGAME standards.  As a movie, I would of went "eh".  I contrast that with Uncharted, that I can hold up as being full movie quality.

What the fuck is with Fanboys keep using that "Movie" argument? It's pathetic get over yourselves you know thats how the series has always been don't try and change it just because it hasn't come out on your preferred system.

The problem here is that we are not fanboys lol, everything I've typed in this thread is very open minded while some people are just like MGS MGS MGS MGS ZOMG MGS4 CUTSCENES ARE AMAZING! It's not like I haven't played both series here lol, it's not that amazing. I can also say once again that the difficulty of a game does not mean it's better game play, that has more to do with how much time you spend with it and how good you are with the play system, it doesn't mean it really feels better. I can get all S ranks in Tenchu 4 and it's not all that easy unless you get the controls and game play down fully, but that doesn't mean it's got awesome game play, in fact many people don't like it at all.

Cutscenes in MGS4 - 10hours-ish
Amount of time to read Watchmen - 8 hours-ish
Realizing the game is a shitty movie with some good gameplay and cutscenes wasted 8-9 hours of your life - priceless

i like Splinter Cell better because its realistic but i think MGS is better stealth game if you dont mind sitting down for long ass cut scenes lol.

I also wanted to pull my hair out watching some of them too thinking how stupid some of them are, while some were not bad, and to this day, I'm wondering wtf happened to Mei Ling since she was suppose to be this cute Chinese chick with an accent and somehow went to a stupid anime looking Japanese style person with a perfect American English accent which pissed me off to no end. I wanted to punch Kojima in the face because Mei Ling's body ratio was down right.... just.... arrrgghh!

MGS hands down.

Splinter Cell/Syphon Filter is a better more fair fight.
