Forums - Sales - Why use sales figures as a metric for winning?

Of course games are subjective or we'd have nothing to debate about on this site. However i don't feel you can have a better metric than sales. This is because it is literally the public voting with their wallets. So therefore the most popular game is voted by popular consensus.

DON'T WIN ME CHIBI BUDDY DON'T WIN ME.

ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF FRIEND CODE:- 5129 1175 1029. MESSAGE ME.
ANDY MURRAY:- GRAND SLAM WINNER!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Around the Network

It is not just consoles, it's companies. People are much more aligned to a company, especially when it comes to nintendo then just towards a console. And when your company is rolling in money, then that means your company has a healthy future.

Basicly, if you enjoy a company's games then you start to worship this company. If it makes tons of moolah, then it will continue to make the games you like and therefore we root about sales.
