I was just playing a public match of left4dead and one person was cheating. As a survivor, he'd track special infected (as in have them in his crosshairs and follow them) before they actually spawned. You are not supposed to be able to know where infected are before they spawn, this is rediculous! Watching him from the first person perspective made it clear he was playing with some kind of autoaim, as well as the ability to see pre-spawn infected.

I checked valve's website and there is no mechanism as far as I can tell to report cheaters, which kinda sucks. Is there any way to deal with cheaters other than valve's VAC, which apparantly cheaters have got around.

sol = shit out of luck. i should of made a clearer title, it's my fault. from what i can gather there is no mechanism to actually report cheaters so from now on i'm going to refrain from playing public left 4 dead games and just play with steam friends.

It is good that people can't report "cheaters" on steam. I would have needed to buy HL/CS many times, especially when I played on some american servers with 300 ping. :D

I understand why they don't have a way to report cheaters. This is actually the first time I've encounted a problem playing on steam. Too bad :/

People were banning me as a cheater from their servers when I owned them with a bad ping. :/

Have you played counterstrike? It's full of speed hackers , aimbots, wallers and people shouting for the admin to ban the guy. But it's all good fun

 Well, you guys from the Eastern Bloc are kinda skilled in playing online shooters.

I used get 5-1 ratios with 700+ pings, i got banned more than 50 times
