FF13 and GT5, that's what would increase sales.

Maybe for a quick burst, particularly GT5.  But FF13 is a hardcore game.  You have to figure a good portion of you hardcore gamers either have a PS3 or 360 at this point.  So it's effect on system sales won't be as large as some expect.

I think most of you forgot what FF does in Japan.

FF7 killed the competition in Japan and made the PS the console to own.

You're 100% correct on FFVII and I had forgotten.  I skipped out of class as soon as Best Buy opened and grabbed FFVII day one.   I Didn't make it to class the rest of the week. What a great game.  Anyhow, Japan lately has been so front loaded that I still don't think the system increase will substantial for more than a couple weeks.

You missed one thing buddy, even tho they own right to the movies I believe there's also royalties to be paid to directors of the movie so for every movie packed in they ARE losing money

You're looking at maybe a couple bucks.  I never said that these ideas would not cost anything.  They are low cost ideas that would increase the perceived value of the PS3 immensely.  Cutting the system by 100 dollars, which seems to be the consensus price cut that Sony needs to make to move more systems, that's how Sony will lose money.

Ratchet and Uncharted would be a smart pack in.

They're too similar: shooter-platformers. They should do LBP-KZ2, to say "Look, it has a diverse library!"

You can't get much further apart than a piece of cotton jumping around on brightly coloured 2D scenery and a gritty, dark first person shooter with lots of gore and deep voiced aliens with orange eyes (I'm not insulting any of those four games, I love them all)
