I don't believe the rest of this I am about to write.........and I agree with you.

No, my initial post was claiming that Nintendo isn't even trying to get those games. How do we know talks aren't going on that they just aren't telling us about?

*sigh* Post SNES era it had been so hard to watch so many of my favorite games walk away to the Playstation brand. I suffered through 2 generations holding my breath for so many big third party titles. Nintendo never aggresively sought after those games then and they won't do so now. Even if you completely ignore the difficulties of porting games from consoles that are 2-5 times more powerful. Porting a Gamecube game is not the same as porting a PS360 game.

Now I have a PS3 and a Wii (and a PC too) and I never have to wonder or speculate about which game is going where.

lol an absolute? I'm not a master of the dark side or anything.

I'm just saying that I don't think we will see any of the other big name games on the wii; so why this one? Those two games were just recent reminders but the back catalog of un-ported games is long.

I didn't mean dealing in absolutes.

As for ports, they aren't really cheap, or else we would get far more. If even HD ports were as cheap as everyone thinks CTYD was, we'd see a lot more than we actually are getting.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

SquareEnix would accept.

It would take a little while to develop. Not as long as it has for thee other two consoles.

I would not buy it.

@nightknight

Nice catch on that reference jedi nightknight.

granted, with crystal tools it would be easier than most. How many other se games are made with CT? Are there any others at all? If so, have they been ported?

Perhaps Crystal Bearers.

i'd rather ask nintendo to invest that money in other game, it could be an old sequel (star fox, f-zero,earthbound or even zelda) or to create a new IP.

It would take however long it takes for Wii 2 to be released. That game won't run on Wii. Unless, you want them to strip it down till it's a blurry mess like Ubisoft did FarCry.

That was not a port, and didn't even use the TEVs. How far behind are you?

If they offered enough, I am sure SE would take it. (That being a port/remake of the game that comes out later than the PS3 and 360 versions, not an exclusive).

Unless you can't get developers, it's would not make much sense. It made sense for Microsoft to do it, especially to try to get better sales in Japan. It might of made sense prior to launch for Nintendo, but they make a fair amount of their own games with high quality that they require third party support the least of all the consoles. At this stage of the game, it will make little sense. SE is more likely to do it on their own if FFCC does better than they expect, then it would be for Nintendo to pay for it.
