Would have never happened because Nintendo is a company that makes hardware to fit there software. Not the other way around. Nintendo made more profit then sony did even during the ps1 and ps2.

Ps: I mean the gaming devision of sony.

even if the Wii did as poorly as the Gamecube (or even a little less) Nintendo would still have made profit and would still be in the business. Nintendo has too strong of a base of fans and too many key franchises along with their more intellignet business model (imagine - to make money off a product you sell... wonder why they do so well) to leave the business except of their own accord.

Nothing for me.

Microsoft would have done a hostile takeover of Nintendo and gotten all of their franchises, causing the Xbox 360 to become the best-selling console ever.

Sony would have freaked, cause how are they going to rip-off Nintendo if Nintendo isn't making anything.
