i had a PS3 first then got a 360 and found the 360 had the games i wanted to play and the multi platform games seemed to play better over all, that and everyone i new had 360's so finding my friends to play games with was no problem. so i kept the 360 and gave the PS3 away.

the wii has its place somewhere in there, i guess. but its not for me.

I didn't buy a PS3 because I thought a 360 would be way more valuable to me. I was already very happy with my Wii, but there were a few HD games that caught my eye (Mainly DMC4). The only exclusive Sony have that I even care slightly about is Uncharted. I'm not willing to pay that much just to get games from one series, which I'm not even sure if it's good or not (since I haven't personally had any playtime with it).

I didn't get a PS3 because it was expensive, hopefully I'll get one soon. I didn't buy a Wii because my cousin has one and I can go over his house and play it.

PS3 & 360:
- I don't have an HD television.
- Too expensive (I am aware that the 360 now has a cheaper model, but I were to buy a 360 I wouldn't get the model with less features)
- They're too big. Some slim models would be welcomed.
- They didn't have enough games that interest me. Things have changed though, and there are now more games I'd want on those systems.
- I was never a big fan of those companies. So, getting me to buy one of their systems requires a little more convincing.

PS3:
- No proper backwards compatibility. If the first PAL models did have some bc, it didn't include some of the PS/PS2 games I wanted. So, I ended up getting a PS2 last summer.

360:
- Unreliable (RRoD,...)
- Paying for online

PSP:
- not enough games that interest me (and by that I mean there are indeed a few games that I'd really like to play, but not that many)

Some of the best games in history are made by Nintendo only. Oh, and motion control is cool for games like metroid prime 3 and motion+ looks very cool.

Didn't buy a ps3 because it's way too expensive and xbox360 breaks too easily.

I resisted from buying a 360 until the ps3 came out. (was hard... i even wanted a 360 on the ps3 early days)

I ended up buying a $250 video card so now i can play most 360 exclusives plus star craft 2 in the near future xD.

PC/PS3 combo is awesome

Wii... just not interested

I didn't buy an amiga cd32 because they weren't released in the US due to some stupid patent dispute and I didn't have the means to get to Canada to buy one, nor was I going to pay the absurd (200%, from Canada, come on) mark up for a Canadian "import"
memory vis because it has no games, nuon because only tempest 3000 and Iron soldier 3 are worth playing, and the @world because the only actual game on it is Marathon

I did not buy a Ps3 cuz not only the console is too expensive, but I wouldn't be able to afford the games either. The same applies for every other console, the only reason I said PS3 first is that if I could afford one console, the Ps3 would be it.
And for your information, there are games I want on every platform this gen.

havent bought ps3 cus its pricey and im playing way too many games across my ds, wii, and 360

i do want a ps3 tho, it is pretty neat, and i do want to play mgs 4, and a few other games

the only console i haven't bought this gen it's the 360.

and likely won't, reasons:

i don't like Halo 3 or Gears.

quality of microsoft hardware it's still all issue and all my games are multiplatform

even the game i was going to buy the 360 its being ported (tales of vesperia).

i will never pay for online so the 360 looks inferior to my already purchased ps3 without online component into it.
i don't have to buy a blu ray player and not pay for online which offers what i want.

i bought it mainly for FF13 versus ,MGS4, GT5 , god of war 3 , trico, which are not appearing on the 360.
