Forums - Sales - Will any current gen console beat PS2 in terms of million sellers?

As I said and many others stated there are likely well over 206 million sellers, the data is very incomplete for PS2 games.

Wow...I didn't know the PS2 had so many million sellers. Long live PS2!!! Third parties most really miss that kind of selling power...

Incomplete data really hurts too...

Killzone is a million+ with others
SoTC is a million+ with others and Japan...

Etc etc etc. For all we know, the PS2 could've had 250.

No.

If there's one thing we're seeing this gen, it's that there are less mass selling games. The ones that mass sell, however, sell more than before.

That's the case for Wii, as well as the Ps360.

It's worse for the Wii though.

It's gonna match the Ps2 in total software, or sell within +/- 20% of it.

However, Nintendo are (I started to say are rather than is on companies, as I believe this is the English way of saying it, rather than the American. If this is incorrect, please tell me) gonna grab a 40% share of that. That's with a ~ 60-70 games, and I'd believe 50 will make the million. That leaves 200 titles that need a million, with just 70% as many sales to use.

It won't make it.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

I doubt it.

Wii would come close, and maybe the DS since it's missing software sales too.

Nope I can't see any of the current consoles having as many million sellers. The high end is far better this gen though. Total software sold should be significantly better overall.
