Assassin's Creed would be an example for CORE NEW IP third party game but CoD wouldn't be. At least I wouldn't call it NEW IP.

So one new CORE NEW IP third party game sells on PS360. I guess that's a good track record to show other consoles can sell CORE NEW IP third party games and Wii can't.

this is the kind of topic that is hard to answer unless the game was on the other console to proove it would sell better.

Alot of people say Mad World would of sold better on PS360?

but in reality look at the game:

- 6 hours long.
- black and white.
- absolute gore kills (alot of people don't like over the top stuff like that).
- not so great story with a slow start.


I know alot of gamers who like to get alot of value in the games they purchase, alot have said that madworld is purely not long enough to justify a full price tag.

So to summaries just because a game bombs on one system doesn't mean that it is a bad thing and it owuld of done better on another. You have to look at all the factors that caused it to bomb.

But then again, in reality alot of nichie games that are great never sell well, eg okami on ps2 and wii (with their combined consoles owned, you would think alot more on both platforms).

Most the gamers out there are into generic games or established franchises cause they want to be the cool kid.

Sure alot of people on here can appreciate the better games that bomb, but we are only a minority of the market. Most the market doesn't read sites liek this, they are just what is hot or not at the time people.

Killzone 2 would sold better on 360, Halo 1 and Halo 2 would sold better on PS2. Resistance 2 would sold better on 360. Forza 2 would sold beter on PS3.

3 STRONG FACTS:

1. It would've sold better if all the games were multiplatforms.

2. It would've sold better on the "Microsoft Marketing Dept bandwagon".

3. It would've sold better if the PS3 was cheaper, if people weren't affraid of the 360 (RRoD).

So in your opinion, Zack and Wiki would have done better on PS3 since LBP is such a big scucess? or it would have done better on 360?

I don't think it would run on the Wii, to be honest. And I'm not Wii-bashing, it's actually a pretty intensive game, what with all the physics, and the graphics which are actually extremely good, even if they are 2D. And even if it did run, no it wouldn't sell better on Wii at all. It's a core 3rd party new IP, remember?

(It would be 3rd party on Wii, since Sony published it)

EDIT: Wow, that was a little late.

Killzone 2, Resistance 1 & 2 would all sell better on the XBox 360 than PS3.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon would of sold better on PS3 than X360.

Metal Gears Solid 4,I do not believe that game would of sold more on XBox 360 than PS3. We will never know.
