So the adoption agencies are the problem, not the parents? That's sick.

As for the other, non-profit vs. for-profit is a line I think they really, really shouldn't cross.

Yeah... it's an issue.  Thankfully they've been getting better via just pressure and new laws but it's a tough situation.  Basically you can only not deny or delay interracial adoptions if you receive federal funds... and even then it's hard to prove... so basically no one follows the guidelines.  For profit adoptions end up better just based on the fact that they aren't not going to sell you a baby... because they want money.

And I mean... once these kids hit a certain age their "marketability" really drops.  It's reallys sad.

I mean... a white family would rather adopt white childrent etc.... but they are willing to adopt children of other races.  I mean to put it crassley often times it's that or nothing.

The saddest part of all?  Who started the stall on interacial adoption?  The National Assosiation of Black Social Workers.  Back in like the 1950's or 60's.

Because black children got a "confused racial identity" and could be considered "cultural genocide".  They're still holding it back!

It's really sad when you consider that 33% of all children waiting for adoption are in fact African American... and it's just sad.
