Forums - Sales - how long do you think wii sales will remain this low in japan?

honestly, i believe the sales went down only because there are is no new software, and that their competition just got some great games. I think once nintendo anounces, yes anounces not releases, a really big title, japan will be theirs again.

hey look what i noticed

kinda suprised me actually

Monster Hunter will bring it up but I believe it'll gradually go back to where it is now, maybe selling a little more. It's going to be an interesting year for the Wii in Japan.

Edit: If the PS3 get's Final Fantasy XIII and Gran Turismo 5 in 2009....well then the Wii might be in trouble.

that makes sense

I was actually wondering will it spread to the west?

In Japan Software moves hardware, Wii without any significant releases for months have stayed on pretty much the same level, Wii Sports Resort, Monster Hunter Tri and Tales of Graces are coming this year and these are the games that will have positive impact on sales of the console. Nintendo should just start bundling some software and wait untill the summer for better sales.

About slowing worldwide, all consoles have dipped a bit recently. But Wii still sells a lot , and a lot more then last year. It should continue to grow, because there are no reason for it to slow down.
