@gergroy, you are best off just importing the sega saturn and playing through with script translations (they have a few on fan websites); though the actual discs are pretty rare and expensive.

In another light, if this is seriously a true Shining Force (not an action rpg) for the Wii I will actually be grateful to purchase a Wii, since the original Shining Force was the game that got me into gaming.

cool, another rpg game for me. between the wii,ps3 and 360 man i am gonna have alot of rpg's to play this year :) i want sega to make and release "skies of arcadia 2" before vc2. :)

 lol, I have actually done that.  I sat down with a printed out script and the ported japanese copies of scenarios 2 and 3, but it wasn't nearly as fun. 

I also had bit of culture shock, as the previously completly clothed shiva, whom you can summon in one of the spells, does not actually posess clothes in the japanese version.  I was rather shocked.

I'm only interested in a Shining Force if they go back to Shining Force gameplay and say screw you to the Shining Soul gameplay.

@Kasz216. You are aware there has been a new Shining Force game for the ds, Shining Force Feather, that actually has tactical gameplay, though somewhat different than the originals. I don't believe it's been announced stateside yet, but Sega seems to have a pretty good record for localizing titles as of late.

Nope.  Don't really keep up on the handhelds.

New Armoured Core is for PSP, Shining Force Cross is for...Arcade.
