Last gen, RE seemed like more of a nintendo franchise.

I think it is too early to call. RE5 for the X360 only needs to sell 4.1k more per week to tie RE5 on the PS3. If the weekly gap remains at 2k for the next month or two, then yea I'd agree that the PS3 version will sell more in 09.
Why are you comparing the software sales between these 2 consoles?
HUGE ammount of xbox owners play backups the same goes for wii
u cant compare a console like ps3 that has no pirated software with consoles that you can run pirated games.
in fact this shows that ps3 is NOT selling games!
Imagine the sales in 360 if you couldnt pirate games on it

True! But the ps2 did get code veronica and both resident evil onlines (horrible garbage) and the late port of resident evil 4. I guess you are right that it was more "associated" with nintendo, but it started out as a ps1 franchise ie a former playstation franchise.

ps1 was a LONG time ago. People usually judge by what system the main series appeared on last gen. Code Veronica and the online games were spinoffs. I think that RE would be tricky to call but judging by the quality of games that appeared on the GC vs PS2, I'd have to say that it was a nintendo franchise as opposed to something like DMC which was obviously a PS franchise.

Pirates are pirates because they don't want to buy games. I know people who pirate 360 games and I can assure you that they won't be buying them if they couldn't pirate. These people usually think that games are just too expensive to be purchased.
