Do You Think Its Time To Trow In The Towel? On Which Version Will Sell More By The End Of 09?

Back in Feb there were all these threads about which one would sell more in 09 i think i was 1 of the few to say that the ps3 version would, i also said that the ps3 would sell more on the 1st week which i was right about.  Im not tiring to say that its going to happen for sure but if you look at lasts week gap its less than 1k anything could still happen. 

I feel though that we can come to a conclusion or at least i could if this trend keeps up the 360 version will never catch up in 09.  I feel that there will be a big explosion with PS3 HW sales around the holiday times much like there was for the 360 last year which will also make it difficult for the 360 version to catch up.

Do you think the 360 version can overcome the gap and be the higher selling version or will the PS3's be the top selling version?

Perhaps you should post the sales from all previous weeks. That would give a better view of the way things are headed. I am too lazy to do this though.

After Japan sales die down, i think the 360 version will be able to close the gap.

It's still selling a bit in Japan, those sales will literally drop to 0 pretty soon then it will only be the west. It's gonna be close but i think the 360 version is gonna win out, i'm pretty certain LTD 360 will be higher.

The Americans have a lot of work to do if they want to offset the Others and the Japanese(happy?).

if 360 catch up it will be by nothing... a few thousands, but it's no looking likely.

tough call but I will have to say it will "not" catch up based on the past data that was just provided. I think this is a changing of the guard so to speak, sales overall between the two (360 and ps3) used to be 2:1 in favor of the 360. Not anymore, it is more like 1:1 or in some case 1:1.5 in the ps3's favor. Some could argue that it has to do with the fact it was a former playstation franchise...but I think it has more to do with how the newer ps3 owners buying habits have contributed to a larger and more healthy purchasing of sony software overall.

Don't under estimate the buying power of NA 360 owners. 360 version will probably peak ahead in sales because of NA legs.
