I think it works both ways. Sony puts facebook features in some games, so they help to advertise facebook.

Facebook puts PS3 stuff on their site, so they help to advertise PS3.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

By associating Playstation with the many social networks that have appeared recently(you tube, Facebook) it would be a great way to make PSN more useful and relevant to everyday people who might not have noticed PSN or playstation otherwise.

Continued integration into other networks may lead to PSN being a real community and not just a free rip off of XBL and could bolster people towards home which is a revenue maker for Sony.

Indeed it is.

Facebook saves fees for putting advertisements in games and Sony saves fees for advertisements in Facebook.

Both pretty much gain big time here and costs are minimal.

I wonder what kind of features we will see on both ends though.

I know SO MANY people who use Facebook daily.

after doin livejournal for years i quit it all, and no more facebook, tho if they had it for 360 id be tempted

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

I know on Myspace they have this thing called YoVille that many people use. I wonder if we will see Facebook doing something similar and letting people use their PS3 trophies there.

That or we may just see Home + Facebook integration. That would undoubtedly do tons for Home.

Yoville is already on facebook.

Sounds like a good idea though.

My daughter is my world.

I'm not so sure I want all my real life friends to know how much I play PS3, LOL.
I'm not really sure that they would really understand...

Good find though Euphoria14.

Keep up the great work!

Really? I thought it was a Myspace thing.
