Obviously, we all are aware and it's a sound truth that all Wii and 360 sales come from people who didn't own a ps2.
There's 140 million customers waiting to buy a ps3, as soon as it drops the price.
I predict they will sell 100 million ps3s this christmas after the price cut.
Well I'm surprised that nobody has said it yet...
Let's wait for NPD for March! ;-p
The 360 outsold the PS3 by 115k in February(in the USA) and now this month that gap has been cut in half? Something is definitely going on here... ;-p
Also somebody mentioned in another thread that end of the year fiscals should be coming out as well, which should give a clearer picture into what's happening with sales lately.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

That headline is hilarious.
"almost getting CRUSHED by Sony" lol
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

That is expected, it is Playstation we are talking about the console that won two console generations not to mention there was pent up demand for the PS3 at the end of 2007 only 10 million people had bought a PS3, so no suprise at all on my part that the next 3 months of the new year the would sell that much.
.........and one more thing I wouldn't call 570,000 more consoles slaughtering, yes the PS3 is doing better but that isn't slaughtering, especially when you look at the fact that that is once again the slow part of the year, just remember how 360 finished up in 2008, yea I know the price cut was there, but the point is how the 360 finished.
a price cut even 50$ would be deadly for sony.
with the AC bundle in japan and it would certainly get europe back.

360 has a handful of games worth mentioning, it's just that they all fall into 1 of 3 catagories.
1. No release date; Potential 2010 release
Forza Motorsport 3
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction
Alan Wake
Ninety-Nine Nights II
2. Will not shift hardware significantly or at all
Halo 3: ODST
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Battlestations: Pacific
Champions Online
Divinity: Ego Draconis
Dungeon Hero
Velvet Assassin
Venetica
Star Ocean: The Last Hope (Europe)
Gears of War 2 (Japan)
3. Confirmed for a 2010 release
Mass Effect 2
Lost Planet 2
Pretty much what Microsoft needs to do at E3 this June is secure 2009 releases from the first four games and announce some new hardware selling games, which is not something they have a good track record of doing at E3. Last year, Microsoft announced a grand total of three new games which were Lips, Scene It? Box Office Smash, and You're in the Movies. In all likelyhood, Microsoft will have to go into the holiday season relying on superior multiplatform sales combined with their significantly cheaper entry price to keep them ahead of the PS3.
Thats what I find so funny Microsoft does not need exclusives anymore to be realistic their third party support is the strongest and they have the cheapest console on the market, but yet killer exclusives are still coming, Microsoft are sitting pretty people.
