If you are not happy with what the wii is offering, why don't you just get another console along with your wii?

Because i've also have a DS and a PC, and if you look at my profile, many, many other passions in my life...

My budget isn't the one of a millionnaire, even if i have a 5000 vinyls collection, a huge sci-fi library, most of my favourite movies and animes on DVD, and so on and so on... oh, yeah, and also: two kids to raise in a tough economic situation...

When i want a game, i pay it with my money, not with dad's or mommy's money: see what i just did?

Now, if PS3 was $200, and with a full PS2 BC, i'd like to finally buy Shadow of the Colossus or Ico... but it won't happen, and some of my best friends have the games, so sorry for Sony, but NO, i won't have a second job to pay myself a PS3, they can kiss my ass...

And most games on X360 are not my cup of tea, i'm in it for the japanese games...

Is that enough for you?

Btw: i usually don't like your comments, at all... just like i don't like trolls and gobelins...

No, I don't see what you did. Care to explain?

So if you don't like western games, then what are you complaining about? Isn't wii getting enough japanese support already? PS3 is only 400€, I really doubt you will need a second job to buy one. 360 is even cheaper.

Simple explaination: many gamers found on the net are too young to buy themselves anything... all they can do is say "i want this, i want that", "i'll buy this, i'll buy that" like spoiled children, but they usually don't have the finances it takes to assume their needs... i don't say you're such a kid, but yeah, that was the meaning...

Now, 400 euros is a lot of money, especially when you buy many records, many books, many DVD's, many DS and Wii games, and when you have children...

Plus: it's hard for me now to go back to a dualshock... i know it works, but there's no turning back for me: wiimote, mouse and stylus all the way...

Plus: Sony can kiss my ass with their Blue-Ray... if they think i'll once again buy all the Walt Disney's, all the Pixar's, all the sci-fi movies i love, all that to hear that in 5 to 10 years, i'll have to buy a brand new collection AGAIN, because there's a new standard which is a "must-have", well... you can fool some people some time, but you can't fool all the people all the time, as a great man once said...

My DVD's are there, they're cheap and work just fine, upscaled in 720p on my home cinema... just as my Wii games look SUPERB in 480p on a big white screen... that's all i need...

OK, i think that's enough reasons, and i don't have to justify myself anyway... PS3 is a luxury i don't need, just as most of the luxuries in that crazy world...

and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."

Now you are going way off. You said that "I don't deserve quality software". Of course you do, just like every other gamer. If the quality software is not available on the platform of your choice, I don't understand how is it so hard to get another console. Especially when you whine that "all the money has been invested on HD textures and engines". Doesn't that mean that the quality software is still going to those platforms?

edit:

I understand that money can be some kind of an issue, but if you skip few of those games which do not offer quality you will save some money for another console. Also I think wii has good support from japanese developers alreade. Since you don't care for the western games, it is pretty weird that you still complain.

The wii can pretty much handle everything except the graphics. This game aint so great you know...

Can it handle Prince of Persia? No. It could barely handle Dead Rising.

As people have said before, it is the draw distance. Prince of Persia is mostly a game where you can relax and sit back, and just enjoy the visuals, and it would have to be significantly changed to be on the Wii

Anyway, this is the team behind Assassin's Creed as well, so they are just focusing on the PS3, and they are making plenty of money, maybe not so much on Prince of Persia (though 1.5m aint too bad), but they made plenty on Assassin's Creed and so there is no reason to suddenly make them move onto Wii when they are a successful PS360 developer

Prince of Persia was never a good series.

Okay, did you ever play the Sands of Time?

Sands of time is a fantastic game, bought that and Beyond good and evil at same time, great choices :D

I don't see why anyone would want Prince of Persia on the Wii. The open ended world breaks the game and dooms it to mediocrity.

Maybe it is because other people disagree with you, and thought it was a great game

Just played PoP for half an hour or so - but from my opinion, it's not really a good game. All that jumping and swinging around feels much too "scripted", almost like Mirror's Edge... I hate this popular approach to modern game design, where your button presses trigger complex "mini movies" you can't really control. It's almost like laser disc gaming again... Dragon's Lair...

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)
