Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Fire Emblem is a difficult series, I don't know if you guys have heard

YOU CAN HAVE THE BLACK KNIGHT ON YOUR TEAM?

I guess it makes sense since you're fighting for Daein and all, but hoo boy - that's going to be awkward when Ike shows up.

Well if you are on the level where you get Fiona (Ballista right at the start).  You will have the BK for 2 levels very soon, 1 where he needs to take almost every kill (without spoilers in the story you'll find out soon enough).  Then you can easily use him for the Endgame level for chapter 1, and if you wanted to he could kill every character without taking any damage, but there is no point since he his a 20/20/20 character.

I remember my first playthrough (without reading any walkthroughs or spoilers) I accidentally overused him and almost gave up later on in the game based on that stupid mistake in 1 level.

Man I bet that's goign to be awesome.

@Words Of Wisdom:

Well, I don't mean it's a fault of Serenes Forest. I've never seen those conversations transcribed anywhere, which sucks because they're some of my favorite in the whole game.

Part 1's Endgame is haaaaard. If you don't use the Black Knight and Naila, anyway. Which I don't like to do!

Man, though, they are absurdly powerful. There are almost no words.

Edit: And dammit, I want support conversations back!

Oh thank God, finished with part one.

Jill got screwed in her strength stat (she's a Dragonlord with a strength of, uh, 13) but I expect this to level out over time. Relatively. Ugh.

Man! Please tell me that Micaiah's chapters are the hardest.

Micaiah's chapters are the hardest. But they can be easy by using your prepromotes. However, if you do that you will be totally screwed when you get back to Macaiah in the ambush chapter. The first time I played I did that and I had to restart the game because I couldn't beat the chapter. That totally sucked as that is over half way through the game.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I don't know if I would say Micaiah's chapters are not the hardest, I found the end game chapters to be the hardest (maybe it will be different this time). I also found Nephanie/Elynsia/Geoffrey chapters to be the most annoying (on hard). I found this set of chapters very short (by level count), but most of them are so long and when your on hard, restarting the chapter is not fun.

@Khuutra, I think you will just end up ignoring Jill completely when you get Micaiah's team back. You will need to end up focusing everything you have on Nolan, Zihark and Micaiah with support from Volug and Sothe. Every other character is going to be almost useless when you get Micaiah's team back.

You'd think so, wouldn't you, but when I left, Edward's stats were already much better than Zihark's and he was only a level 1 Swordmaster. Nolan, of course, was a beast.

I'm on chapter 3-5, "Retreat!" where you have to either defend for ten turns or kill the enemy boss. Defending is problematic - Titania is so strong at this point that she smashes most enemies who come at her, but they usually get in at least one hit so there's no way to keep her healed during enemy phases when she gets attacked about six times. I could give her a weaker weapon, I suppose.

Still, I think I'm approaching this wrong, anyway. They give you the option to kill that boss for a reason.

So I'm going to blitz the dirty racists so hard they won't know what hit them.

Also: Nephenee is a monster.

Wow, you move fast (I guess I only played for 2 hours on the weekend and just past the burning the senators supplies mission).

I thought that mission was fairly easy, but I never really blitzed the boss and I think he had 5 HP left as my final turn ended.  I think the item from him was kinda lame, so I didn't really rush forward until I realized I owned all the enemies.

Nephenee is a monster, she is awesome (don't make the same mistake I did and actually get her to 20/20/20).

What's wrong with getting her to 20/20/20? I'm keeping my heavy hitters fairly evenly leveled, if you mean I shouldn't just be giving her all the experience.
