the main story is rather short if you think of it as a JRPG, but to me it seems more like a brawler type game anyway. Regardless, the main storyline is around 10 hours, but that can be lengthenned with side missions.
The main issue of the game is that it gets repetitive. You have to go each of the Faery Worlds (levels) twice, and though the way you'll go through them and what faeries you'll defeat will change, the general background and the boss at the end does not change. This combines with the button mashing gameplay to make this game feel unfortunately short and repetitive.
The best thing the game does is atmosphere, the music, graphics, and general storyline all work together wonderfully. You really feel like you are in a creepy murder mystery or in a world of faeries.
I'm just about done with the game, and will be writing a review probably this weekend or next since Machina asked me to. Was happy to find an excuse to make myself finish the game, it really has an interesting story.
