500-1000 in one tournament is way too many.
Tournament would last way too long.
Better off having 5 tournamanets of 100 players each or 10 tournaments of 100 players each. 5 tables of 10 or 10 table of 10 would be ace.
I play Poker online and anything over 100 people is outrageous.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

By the way, is this poker just Texas Hold'em or do you get Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7-card stud and/or 5-card stud as well?
Do we have Blackjack at all on Home?

It's not that bad, if it's no limit it goes pretty quick. I played against 3400 people once online and I got like 122nd place and it only took 2 hours.
And I'm not sure what type of poker it is.

since you STILL have no idea what your talking about since you have no experence in the genre HOME is in could you quit trolling xbox fanboy? |
Huh? That made absolutely no sense. I have "no experience in the genre" ? Whatever makes you feel better about the dissappointment that is Home.
Also, I was never raped in this thread. If you are referring to Rpruett, I handed him his own after his countless attempts to try an argue with me.

See how he only makes silly little statements like this? That's because he knows he got owned and has absolutely nothing to back it up with after I continually shut down all of his other arguments. Poor fellow. Defiant till the end, I guess.

You mentioned me with one sentence above. I mentioned you right back....with two sentences. Guess we're both making 'silly little' statements. It's quite funny that you think that you have 'won' so completely, you're like my personal jester. Make me laugh, jester.
Poker was a decent addition, but as it's already been mentioned, the lack of a rewards system or any lasting consequences does diminish it somewhat as a "gambling" game.
Naturally, they can't have anything or real value (points applied to purchases, even if specifically for virtual items within Home only) being won since they're not running a gambling service here.
What the Godfather space looks like to me is a simple re-use/test of resources to be used in the EA Sports space, which will supposedly have a full casino with games beyond just poker as well as a tiered player feature that allows players to play at higher stakes tables depending on how well they do. Leveling basically.
It wouldn't be surprising if tournaments were eventually held as more developers stage events within Home to promote their games.
Presumably, there will be a system of rewards in the form of Home items (clothing items, decoration items, etc.).
That's actually what keeps many people in Home playing. Persistent stat tracking like in the Red Bull race being another.
Regardless, Home has changed vastly since the December open Beta, which is unlikely to sway anyone who instantly hated the service, declaring its pointlessness, but it has become a viable diversion in between standard gaming as well as a good means to find other players or simple chat with the ones you already know.
