The poker game should have been there from the beginning. This is not a huge update more like necessary. Why cant they release at a much faster pace?

Home was rushed when it was released, there was a lot of delays and people were growing weary, they had to release Home, but don't forget it's still a Beta, it's not "officially" released yet.

LOL at Skeeuk and at this^^

Home wasn't "rushed."  It was delayed and delayed from it's original planned release.  If anything it took too long to deliver, and all that was delivered was a pointless, mindless app with no life and nothing to really bring any benefit for using it.  It's just an attempt for Sony to make up some losses of having a "free" service by charging you microtransactions on clothes, apartment things, etc.

@Skeeuk
Home never was and still to this day is not a success.

you dont represent home in any way what soever. if you dont like it Tuff!

people actually like the service, and it always has tons of users online, ive met a few buddies myself in the resident evil space and we now do co-op on res5.

content will increase with new spaces and new mini games.

i recomend you go play kingdom of keflings instead, leave home out of it, you havent got a ps3 so its not for you.

for a free service i think its brilliant. how much is kingdom of keflings and the plethora of other flash games on live?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

If Home has recouped it's costs?  It almost assuredly is a 'success'.   But hey,  you're doing a mighty fine job of trolling as is.  Why not keep it up?

Ah, in comes PS3 fanboy extraoridnaire Rpruett.

I am not trolling.  I am posting exactly what the majority of people feel about Home.  Even PS3 users themselves.

In repsonse to your message:  Has Home recouped it's losses?  Can you find something to show how much development costed and how much they have made off of Home so far?  Also, what about operating costs?  I'm sure it takes quite a few nice servers to host all those users on Home and all the content.

Notice how Sony hasn't released any data on Home revenue... erm.. I mean profits since that bit about it getting more "revenue" in 4 days than the first week of the video download service?  I put revenue in quotes because Sony likes to use the term in place of profits to mislead people.  You can have a revenue of a high positive amount but still have negative or very lackluster profits.

I did sell my PS3, you are right, but during my time at Home it was all a waste.  The majority of PS3 users no longer even visit Home and share my opinion, so in a way I guess I do represent the majority when it comes to Home.

Also, on Xbox Live I pay for high quality XNA studio created games using a far more complex language than simple flash games.  Being a 360 owner yourself (if you really do own one with the amount of bashing and trolling you do), you should know better than that.  Oh and how did you know I bought Kindom for Keiflings?  I'll admit it was a very simple game and was expecting more of a challenge, but it was addicting and fun none-the-less.

That's rich.  PC/360 owner comes trouncing in. In another thread says that he's never witnessed screen tearing in a 360 game (Even when shown examples)  but it's all over the place in KZ2.  Rofl.     Dude you're an absolute riot.

I have no idea if Home has recouped it's losses. Do you?  And don't bother answering that because since you don't know you have no basis for calling it a failure.  Operating costs are probably tied into the entire PSN and are certainly covered by the micro-transactions that take place.

Sony...Those Asian devils!  Microsoft and every other large corporation are just straight shooters though.  Let us forget about the fact that Microsoft forged ahead with faulty hardware.  (Assumably so their the horde of goobers would keep gobbling up their faulty system.)

you have to be kidding me arnt you? well everyone to thier own i suppose.

i know many people dont like home because its not thier thing, but you also must agree that many do like it.

imo it does everything that it says on the tin, once more game rooms are launched it will be much better, i only log on once a week mainly sundays but i think its pretty good and with some buddies you can have a bit of a laugh.

if you put it this way. if just the bowling alley segment of home was released on live or wiiware, in where your avatar can be controlled and play bowling and pool with freinds in a game space over the net, people would have bought it.

so that fact that its free on ps3 makes it worthwhile, plus on some games you gain trophie unlocks, which imo is a good feature. i recently got one on street fighter 4 i won a dan t-shirt.

so although i agree many dont like it, fact remains many do. so its best to leave it at that.

Read that other thread again, kid.  You simply fail to read closely I presume.

In repsonse to your message:  Has Home recouped it's losses?  Can you find something to show how much development costed and how much they have made off of Home so far?  Also, what about operating costs?  I'm sure it takes quite a few nice servers to host all those users on Home and all the content.

Funny.  You claim to have no idea if the losses are recouped, but then try to claim that operating costs are "certainly covered by the micro-transactions".  Very contradicting of you.  How is it you are so certain of this?  You have no basis for this.  I actually feel the opposite and I feel that Home has made Sony little gain in the overall PSN costs.  Why do I believe this?  Because Sony hasn't given any sales data on it except for that one brief "revenue" blurp.

Notice how Sony hasn't released any data on Home revenue... erm.. ^^This basically answers nothing and adds nothing to what I said.

And this is why there is no hope of any decent conversation with you.  You only bring up other off topic issues instead of respond to my actual arguments.

If you don't like home, why are you getting in a tiz about it?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Yes best leave me be.  Rpruett prefers to live in his Sony fanboy dream land where only possitive things can be true about Sony and the PS3/PSN.

Ok, "many" don't like it and "many" do.  The "many" that don't like it or just don't use it = 80%+ of the PS3 userbase.  I'm sure a lot of that userbase doesn't go online with their PS3's so my number isn't spot on, but if even 50% of PS3 users go online, then of that, only 33% have used Home even once (regular basis number being much smaller) and 66% have yet to even touch it.
