Lil'Wayne and T-Pain are fucking terrible,lol. Kayne is alright and Rick Ross can't write a good ryhme to save his own life (when comparing him to Wu-Tang for example). Plus the beats are mediocre.

The beat is incredible what are you talking about. T-Pain is a singer and Lil Wayne did good on this track. Kayne was alright and so was Rick Ross. Rick Ross can write hot lyrics just listen to this

I'm sorry, but this is prolly what is one of the many things that is wrong with Rap these days. I listened to those songs you just posted. It is the same old shit over and over again...clothes, cars, money, guns as usual (surprisingly no hoes...). It never changes...

And yes, M.I.A. is NOT rap...it is more like world music with electro. Jurassic 5 is officially dead with Wu-Tang Clan. Nowadays, Rap is a lost genre with meaningless lyrics (not unrecognizable, just meaningless). It has no place in today's music industry and is being replaced with Rap mixed in with stupid dances from Soulja Boy.

First Rap killed Hip Hop groups like A Tribe Called Quest and now it is being killed by silly wannabe "Gangsta" rappers and the Superman dance. What a world we live in...

If you haven't heard of the Japanese DJ known as "Nujabes" I recommend you check him out.  I don't know if he's considered rap or hip hop or what, but in any case, he is thoroughly enjoyable.
