Rap was alright back in the days but once it became big it quickly became shit. The reason so many people hate rap is because most of the mainstream big hits these days are done by talentless hacks. Same as pop and hip-hop. There are still genuinely talented people out there, they're just hidden behind a great big wall of crap.
