Or even better Gears of war 3 suddenly multiplat due to a surprise coup between cliffy b and management at microsoft games studios.  Now that would be EPIC

I'm sure Sony still has some unannounced big things for E3.

im tired of people keep saying the VSXIII will be multiplat when it is confirmed exclusive EVERY trailer that comes out. and besides, its too late anyways.

Expect MS's huge bombshell to be something like blu ray coming to 360.

PS. Even though microsoft would consider it so, GeO3 being announced at E3 isnt a bombshell. Everyone expects it.

Microsoft will not add Bluray to the 360, it's just not worth the cost especially as there would be no use for it for games.  The only hardware revision that would be huge is a slim model, but that isn't happening this year imo.  I have no idea what they will come out with if I'm really honest.

Apart from announcing an 09 release for Alan Wake and Splinter Cell, I can't think what Microsoft could announce. There's already 2 Halo games for 2009, so there's no way they'd announce yet another one, and it's too early for Gears 3 (not until next year's GDC, I'm thinking).

Maybe Forza 3?

the game is not coming out in japan, and it gets more than half of its sales from there.

Again...

Really?

Despite the fact that I think it's not that big a deal, it was a bombshell.  Because it was something completely unexpected.  A new game announced?  Ok, expected.  A new franchise announced?  Cool, maybe not expected, but nothing out of the ordinary.  A game from an established franchise announced for your competitors platform that has previously been touted as exclusive, releasing same day in the two biggest gaming territories (despite sales of FF being stronger in Japan) on your console?  A definite bombshell.

But I can see why some people don't really care.  Like most reasonable PS3 owners.

it was a bombshell to the fanboys, EVERYONE was shocked, but now, if you look at it. i dont see a huge deal out of it. The game wasnt like going to give ps3 an extra 1 or 2 million hardware sales. maybe in japan but definately not in the west.
