imo it deserves 8/10, mainly because of those annoying children... god i hate those fuckers.

They were the least annoying "spare baggage" characters I've seen in a JRPG. Just be glad they weren't the main characters, like in so many jrpgs.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Planning on getting this game.

Btw they way I assume it's random battles?

 Yep random battles.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the review. Hope it was well written. I will do some more, as ALWAYS the end score is ONLY based on how enjoyable it was for me. Even if the graphics would get a 4, the game can still get a 10 overall because it was enjoyable like no other game. This is why I want to do some reviews. Ive seen games get 9 and 10 which I have not enjoyed that much. And I love the genre they are in. So ENJOYMENT is the winner for me. :)

The loading is not an issue going in and out of fights? I'm sorry, but that's just not true. You can't justify watching the game spin around environments 15-20 seconds before the fight finally starts. Not that the fights are all that fun anyways. Ahh well, it gets extra points since it's a Japanese RPG in the days of the genre's decline.

A solid 7.8 from me!

100 % agree abou the loading battle times. you forgot to mention the crappy and useless ring system and the anoyng and long  dreams (great stories but you just read a simple text).

a solid 8.4 from me

Great review Selnor, let's hope for more in the future keep up the good work.

Are you talking about the rings in or out of battle? The ring battle system quickly becomes useless once melee attacks do, and the dreams were so fucking long. I understand that they were supposed to be short stories but it was horribly overdone.

Best Games/Serie of the Generation

LO had a really good story an voice acting.
It just suffered from the same generic game play so many jrpgs have.
