@ Slimebeast - Transient Shift, PC FPS game influenced from Timesplitters. =)
As for RE 5, there were two release dates, one for the same time as the XB360/PS3, and another for Q3 this year, which makes more sense. I think the first one was just one that wasn't updated.

@Montana - They=Capcom, and the chart I got the data from said Shipped Worldwide on top. One thing I forgot to take into consideration is that VGC doesnt allocate for Walmart, a large game retailer. A one mil discrepancy could make sense that way,

The issue with the shipped/sold discrepancy is 2 fold:

1) Retailers and distributors probably got a discount on heavy bulk orders, so they may have ordered more than neeed

2) VGC numbers may not be perfect in America. It may be undertracked in the states...Look at the massive undertracking of SFIV for proof.

At any rate, given the brisk sales of RE5 for both systems, a 1 million unit discrepancy will quickly vanish given the rate of sales....RE5 is a huge seller.

As for the # needed to break even...I imagine Capcom only needed 2.0-2.3 to break even, as I don't see how the game was THAT expensive since it used their MT framework engine, which was in-house.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I am sure they will be making a nice profit shortly. Especially with the Versus DLC.
