Forums - Nintendo - What games are Nintendo going to give us for Wii this year?

I just want ONE good core title for either Wii or DS. Last year had neither in my opinion. I gave in last year and bought Wii Fit, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, etc. after Reggie insisted they were 'core' and found them dull and unrewarding.

Wait wait wait... You actually believed that?

I wanted to believe Nintendo hadn't given up on my entire demographic. I was wrong.

Look at my game collection; Nintendo is my sole game company and has never let me down before.

The problem is that for every £1 in R&D money they have they can make £2 profit by making my kind of game, or £5 in profit by making a Brain Training sequel or similar.

You bought Brawl and Kart... are they not core?

Batalion Wars 2 also came out last year.

Brawl, yes. Didn't feel like 2008 though.

Kart, yes but I didn't like it. The stunts were a stupid addition and the controls were a return to Double Dash handling instead of the awesome MKDS handling. Oh, and I can't use the online due to a weird connection bug.

BWii, yes but it's not Nintendo first-party.

stunts are a great addition.. and Brawl was 08 whether you like it or not.. WarioLand? Core isn't it?

Nothing major lol.. I was just doing research and the one particular EAD group, I believe it was the Mario Kart group.. Well they are obviously at work on an unannounced game which should be ready around mid 2010 if they're going on a 2 year development schedule and the team head was the director of previous Starfox games.. (the info was about the head of this group)

If Wii is getting Starfox I believe there's a 70% chance it'll come from that team and if it doesn't come out next year then it probably won't because they'll be going on to work on Mario Kart for Nintendo's next portable..

So I'd be looking out at the October conference for Starfox news

Soleron, in fairness, your tastes may be overly specific - slightly, anyway. You dismiss a lot of core games out of hand, even if Nintendo puts them out, because they don't fit into your genre preferences.

As to the topic.... no idea. Nintendo seems intent on keeping me guessing. Well I ain't playing that game, Nintendo!
