Regardless of the truthiness of this rumor, I honestly don't trust SquareEnix to remake this game right now. Their recent suckage has been way too massive.

Not to mention that FF7 has aged horribly 

I think how Crisis Core FFVII does will have a large bearing on whether a remake will turn out good or not. If they done a great job with the combat of Crisis Core then I will feel confident that they will do well with a FFVII remake. Many of us really want the brilliance of that game delivered by using todays technology though.

Full HD FFVII would be absolutely amazing since as has been said, the game has not aged well and neither have the graphics.

Incidentally so much of the original FF7 feel has been lost in the restyling of Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus and the Cellphone games. The original art style has all but been abandoned for fangirl remakes of all the character designs and a far more glitsy world than I ever remember FF7 being.

Played FFVII today........its old like really old.Fogot what the hell i was doing so i might have to start again being on the end of the 2nd disc and having to start again is not good but anyway, i want this rumour to be true but its from 1up and they are crap and S-E hasnt announced it yet and havent said that the rumours false either so it sould be true but the chance of this being true 10000:1.

I disagree. The game was never really that good to begin with. The age of the game has allowed the hype to fade and the game to be judged on its own merits. 

See how it is, nintendo fans are hating on FF VII now..just because its a game on a ps system doesnt mean it has to suck... look at the ratings they have given all sony games..this is how I know these things.

The whole game will change to the way FF VII CC is designed, and the graphics will rocket to near advent children appearences. FF VII will be reamade its the only FF game that hasnt been remade, why on ps3? Well they showed a demo of it in 2006.

Leo, for the love of god, play the game.

Well, I didn't actually say the game was great in the first place

I think a lot of the reason why FF7 is regarded so highly is because it was many peoples first experience with an RPG, not to mention it had pretty cutscenes and the death of the main character.

Other than that, its combat system was horrible. And any RPG where you can make each character identicle in stats has some fundamental problems. Oh, and every man looks like a chick plus tifa is such obvious fan service that its disgusting.

@Leo, just shut up about how great FF7 is until you actually play the game. The only reason you think its so cool is because of Kindom Hearts, but I assure you that KH is better than FF7. Seriously, you can get it for around $10 without that much trouble, and it will give you a reason to actually use your PS3.
