Forums - Nintendo - Wall Street Journal: Nintendo starts to cool down

Key japanese market?...really? lol.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Around the Network

@Hanafuda: Well, instead of attach rate a better view about the market would be to look at the software sales in total.

The Wii Sports bundle also is a common thing to say, but everybody seems to forget that we have 3 current gen consoles that each has sold millions of additional units of software with forced bundles.

Also, the article also tried to forecast the future trends, while ignoring the software as potential systen seller in the future.

If it wants to say the rapid growth phase is over, i would agree, but it was a little strange route to take.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

The wii needs good games, and lots of them, instead of relentless shovelware that people wont buy

Exactly.  The New Play Control games are alright and everything but Wii needs much more than just that.  I also wish Nintendo would do some sort of quality control for the Wii too, good games are being hidden in a sea of shovelware.

Monster Hunter 3 & G, as well as Final Fantasy Chrystal Bearers should help Wii in Japan.  But Nintendo really needs to release something good for the Wii and fast.  The heavy drought of good games is what's killing the Wii in Japan.
