Forums - Gaming - What PS360 games do you think could have sold great/fair on the Wii?

I doubt LBP would do well, the community levels are what makes that game great and dont think the Wii would do that well. But that my opinion.

I would say Ratchet is a definite possibilty, same with Viva Pinata, and Banjo. I would also say alot of the JRPGs on either console would do well on the Wii.

I dunno about that Avarice. Galaxy is over 8m now and a game like Carnival games isn't even half that. Also Re4, a port, sold 1.5 million, so RE definitely has a home on the Wii.

You do have a point with galaxy being higher, but why on earth would carnival games sell like they do and madworld, fragile, okami, house of the dead, etc sell so pitifully?  That is because core gamers on the wii are not the majority, hence any core game (fallout, resident evil) will have roughly the same success on the wii as it has on HD twins is all I am saying.  Maybe less looking at WAW.

Yeah right! you think that resident evil which has already sold like 2.5 million on the HD twins (1.5 million ps3 and 1 million 360)would have sold higher on the wii? Come off that stuff you are smoking, because it has clouded your judgement. As others have already speculated, the core games sell pretty much the same on all consoles. Most games sell anywhere between 1 to 5 mill for AAA and compare this to the casual party games and heavily bundled wii fit and sport and it is no contest. The wii is home to a new demographic the non-gamer, these people do not buy hard core games like fallout3. Look at mario galaxy and check it's sales versus all those crappy carnival games and you will notice that they sold with in a couple of million of eachother. That is something that should never happen, seeing as how cheaply made the carnival games are and how much quality that galaxy has.

Not that you actually care what I say, but he said 'sold great/fair', not 'sold better'.  I'm not even going to touch the rest of your failure-filled post.

OT: What the OP and Wiistation360 said.

I guess you did not read what I was saying because of your bias towards the HD twins.  AGAIN I will attempt to open your mind, Resident evil 4 did very well on the wii (taking nothing from it), but RE5 was no slouch  on the Twins because it got it's sales within a month versus a couple of years.  Resident evil games have nice legs as well and should see both copies trending toward 3 to 4 million ltd (why? I have no idea, I did not like this game, but it has sold).  So I hope I can empart my opinion without being  attacked as a fanboy by you again in this same thread.  I am merely adding to the thread in away to help enlighten others that may find my post informative.  ciao.

My sales predictions:

Resident Evil 5- 1 million+

Street Fighter 4- 750,000+ (maybe more depending on controls)

Fallout 3- 500,000+

Dead Space- 400,000+

Mirror's Edge- 250,000+

Assassin's Creed- 500,000+

What do you guys think?

A big fat hell no to all those games mentioned. Games like Banjo Kazooie 3 and Viva Pinata would have sold really well on Wii.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

It's pretty pointless to debate on this, since we would never know how any of those PS360 game would've turned out on the inferior hardware. Some of those games are simply not possible on the Wii as they are, and it would mean a total different game, since graphics and physics have plenty to do with gameplay mechanics and the overall experience.

The wii is getting dead space so we will know about at least one of these predictions very soon. Yeah as far as shaders, physics, texture quality, and animation we know that the wii version would have been worlds behind the HD twins....but as far as controls are concerned the wii may just make it more fun (with it's waggle controls).
So again it is really a toss up.

Well Dead Space Wii is an on-rails game..Also by your reasoning the PS2 was in a similar position as well, since games like Spongebob Squarepants sold more than God of War.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
