In the past few weeks I switched from Wii-Fit to My Fitness Coach to improve some other regions of my body. (Cardio Training, Upper body Training.)
It's nice to hear that I am not the only one, who got results with Wii-Fit. |

"My fitness coach" is a straight port of the game "Yourself fitness" (X-Box, PS2, PC). This means it uses none of the specific Wii functionalities. (No balance board support, no wiimote exercises) It is still a very good game, but in my oppinion it is not suited for beginners (like me a year ago). I know, that if I had started with "My fitness coach" instead of "Wii-Fit", I would have quit the fitness stuff and had no results.
The approaches of "Wii-fit" and "My fitness coach" are very different. "Wii-Fit" is interactive and you can see if you do an exercise wrong. Because of this, "Wii fit" is unique (until now, at least on the european market).
"My fitness coach" tries to mimic a fitness DVD. Don't understand me wrong, it is definately better than any fitness DVD on the market. Because it uses your data to evaluate the optimal workout for you. And it can combine your exercises with the following equipment: Heart Monitor, Stepping Board, Gymnastic Ball and Hand Weights. Another plus for the program is, that it has more exercises than "Wii-fit". However, there is no interactivity between the user and the wii during the exercises.
Conclusion: I would only recommend "My fitness coach" to people, who have already experiences on the fitness sector. It is great to train the upper body region (especially if you use hand weigths) and cardio.
If you check the numbers for the game on vgchartz, than you can see that this game is on the way to become one of the Wii-Millionsellers. And in my oppinion it deserves it. (I really hope that Ubisoft or responDesign make a sequel and use some of the wii functionalities.)
