Forums - Gaming - IPod Touch- Portable Gaming

I was at JB HIFI (an australian electronic store) today and i was looking at the DS and PSP section and there was a new addition to the portable game machines the Ipod touch. It was the first time i had ever seen it away from the MP3 section. I was wondering if this is normal in other places and maybe my local shop is behind? or is this news to you?

Not here, but the I pod touch is better than the PSP. It can hold way more music and videos, cheaper games, and near limitless applications.

Not even touching that, since it'll start a flame war.

Most of the iPhone games are minigames. The PSP is like a portable console,with full length games

Not seen it in any GAME stores...

Plus its not really a Portable Console... like the DS + PSP are classed.

90% of iPod Touch/ iPhone games are minigames.

My new DSi is a real handheld

Awesome! This means that:

PSP = PS3
iPhone = Wii
DS = Xbox 360?

"OMG! Minigames!" Should be a warning call for industry wide changes approaching by now.

This is invisible text!

Let's put it this way:

-The DS and PSP are gaming devices first, and music/video(for the psp) players
second.
-The iPod touch is a music/video player first and a gaming device second

When the two sides try and pretend like that secondary feature is really a primary one....they do it poorly.

with a t are free or $5-$8. also it has wi fi internet access with a touch screen. The applications alone leap frogs the PSP.
