Forums - Nintendo - What kind of game would you make for Wii Balance Board?

Racing:

Sitting down with both feet on the balance board. Right side is accelerator, left side brakes. You apply more pressure to the side you want. Full pressure (such as having just your right foot on the board) would be pedal to the floor. The opposite would be slamming on the brakes.

Anyone familiar with real racing foot work can see how a mix of this, the Z button (for clutch) and B button (for emergency brake) can be used to do realistic drifting, toe-heel shifting, re-matching, double clutching, etc...

FPS:

Corner leaning. While taking cover you can lean out to the side and fire.

Lateral jumping. Like strafing but with a jump added in.

Camera look. Can look left and right independently of the player control and Wii-mote aiming allowing you to run forward and still look to the side.

3rd person:

Same as above.

I would make my dream come true. Battle Angel Alita Motorball game. You balance with the board and fight with the remote/nunchuck.

a track and field game, or a 100 yard dash game lol. I wonder how easy the balance board is to break... i guess we will find out once people start pounding on it in WiiFit.

This isn't microsoft we're talking about! Ohhh low blow.

In keeping with the topic I agree I'd definatly want to make a time crisis style game.

That or use it in conjunction with the wii remote and nunchuck for a track and field game or what about using it as the gas pedal and break for a racing game while tilting the controller?

I still would like to know how the WiiBoard communicates with the Wii.

Because if it's Bluetooth, then it's taking the place of Wiimotes.

And therefore, games would suck, cause you could play snowboarding games with just the WiiBoard, but not shooter games with it.

Unless 2 WiiBoards take up 2 Bluetooth spots, and so then you can use 2 Wiimotes with them...there wouldn't be any 4 player games possible though...

Just a little FYI: I believe the Wii can pick up 7 different bluetooth frequencies. So 3 boards + 3 remotes would work.

 I know that...but I would think it'd either be 2 player or 4 player games...3's a weird number.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
