"Your comment really sounds like "I´m better than those guys and women" because, yeah, you own a Playstation 3."   I don't see how my answer about yoga being done by women or gay men, is me saying i am better then anyone because i own a PS3.  I feel that wiifit is a joke on the gaming industry in general, but nintendo may use wiifit to try and tell people that it will get them in shape and help them lose weight.

That is based on the Nintendo adds i have seen for the brain games that tell old people that they can gain back their memory and stop several diseases that happen to the old in general.  Now tell me nintendo is right in doing that.  nintendo has already advertised the wii board as a way to lose weight, you show thin people doing yoga and push-ups on the wii board and it tells people that i can look like that if i buy it.

 My original post was not meant to make fun of any group of people based on sex or sexualality, it was a stab at yoga and Nintendo in general, i'm sorry my post has offened you.

Wii Fit had good reviews at http://www.nintendic.com/news/978 Leipzeg.  I think that it adds a lot of justification for families considering a Wii.  Since the Wii is OOS everywhere, Wii Fit could help Nintendo by boosting the attach rate.  For the ten million Wii already sold, Nintendo might sell 2 million Wii Fit this year.

As we pull up to the delayed release of Wiifit, anyone want to update their guess as to how effectively Wiifit will drive sales, in particular in the (normally slow) first part of the year?
To keep trending up at the same rate as 2007 did, June 2008 would have to have revenue of $5B USD (or more), which seems out of the question to me even with an apparent smash hit fitness product kids geting games for summer. Probably June 2008 will bring in around $4.2B USD.
On the other hand, Nintendo 4Q sales seem to have been very strong, maybe even hitting $4B USD.
It will be interesting to see what Nintendo's earnings projections are.

Well, we don't really know if Wii Fit will drive up sales since we don't know if Nintendo has upped production enough for it to be significantly noticed. Ithey were to up production by some 200k, probably not since they have to stock up to not repeat last christmas's sellouts. But if they up production by some 400+k, that's a whole different story. Obviously this title will affect north america the most, so based on everything that i know........i say that Japan will remain as is, Europe might see some kind of permanent rise in HW sales but by no more than 15k and the USA.....permanent rise by 20-30k.....for the rest of the year in all cases.

BTW what Gran Turismo wrote really made me mad. I just happen to like yoga and consider myself to be purely homo..errr hetero sexual, yes......:P My sig proves it!!

After what a mess the 2007 holiday season was for Nintendo, and Reggie's comments, I have to assume they will announce they have boosted production at the conference this month.
Personally I think Wiifit is dumbed down DDR, but it sold big in Japan so it ought to sell big in NA too.
