I thought the same thing about brain age, look where that went. Heck, brain age did so well I even bought it (and hated it... I really should sell it)

I read a few people casually mention it, but nobody is really realizing the reality of the Wii here. The Wii has been sold out for 10 months now. It will continue to sell out through December. When WiiFit hits retail, it'll still be sold out. We'll never know if WiiFit will sell consoles at all, because until Nintendo ramps up production, it's anyone's guess on how popular the Wii really is. It could be hypothetically selling over 50% more systems right now if they were available. So to answer the question, the WiiFit won't increase sales one bit. Unless the market situation changes, that's not just my opinion but cold hard fact.

On topic: I don't think WiiFit will increase Wii sales. It will just increase Wii demand. But Wii sales will still be capped by how much they can produce. haha.

I think people need to go outside and exercise... what is wrong with people if you need a gimmick to exercise. It's no different from infomercials where you buy a pricey exercise equipment and use it for a week. It's just another way to exploit people's emotion. Only a handful will use it to exercise.

Somewhere in the vacinity of an extra 2^17 with a (+/-)2^15 variance.. more consoles WW per week for at least a little while would be my guess.

i would guess WW it could increase by 130k but we wont be able to due to supply and we couldn't tell because it releases in the 3 regions at different times, and supply will be at different levels at each time/place
