I know Atari as a console maker fell the way of the Jaguar, but some people have fondness for the company (see my Avatar symbol). So, I figured I would do a shoutout. Who here likes Atari? And, to prevent this from having 20 other threads for each company, if not Atari, do you happen to like another company that now has a retro console.
Figured might as well discuss the attachment factor.
For me, the Atari 8bit computer was innovative. I was a fanboy of it, watching it lose to Commodore, and my dreams go down. I also thought the Jaguar MAYBE had a shot, and the Lynx was awesome. The Atari 400 was my first computer I owned. I remember creating games written in Basic that were clones of arcade games I played. I then ended up with an Atari 800XE, before I did cave in and get a Commodore 64 and then an Atari XE. I also got the NES, and then went multiconsole ever since (well money dependent). I tend to too much side with the underdog, or had.
So, what is your story? Any company around you still like, or have fond memories, from Intellivision (INTV guy come on out), to NeoGeo, to Sega, to Commodore... well, any others I miss (like 3DO or Magnavox).
