I'll looked at all the next gen call of duty's since 4, and the ps3 looks to be catching up.

call of duty 4

360: 7.21m

ps3: 4.12m

sales difference - 3.09m

call of duty: World at War

360: 5.24m

ps3: 3.13m

sales difference - 2.11m

So hopefully for ps3 owners, modern warfare 2 will possibly follow this trend and only make a 1 million sales lead for the xbox 360. thoughts??

It's possible. Especially if PS3 recieves a large price drop shortly before the time of release.

Will still be behind the 360 version by a considerable margin but smaller gap compared to WAW and of course COD4. Good thing that fanboys (retards) stopped saying "people only buy PS3's for blu-ray players" or they would be getting a new one ripped which I doubt anyone wants.

The time where for a multi-plat game would outsell the PS3 version 99% of the time are gone, that I can say.

The PS3 is probably going to be behind the 360 by 1M(My prediction when I look at the COD4 and WAW's sales) isn't competing IMO. Or unless the PS3 recieves a price drop by release.

Well COD games sell best where the 360 is a monster, the PS3 MW2 sales will never beat 360 sales because of that one region. It's like saying FFXIII on 360 will outsell the PS3 version, never going to happen because of one region.

MW2 will probably sell more comprabably to MW1 vs WAW. MW is more popular in NA while WAW is more popular in Europe.

I think 2:1 is a realistic expectation for MW2 LTD sales.

In WaW's case, not enough time has passed. It may also be nice to add CoD3's sales.

Yeah I am sure it is realistic, in Shane Kims wet dream that is. COD4 could not have a 2:1 ratio in favour of the 360 and that has since decreased for WAW, it's not going to jump up for MW2.
