But Ganon didn't exist prior to OoT, and he's the final boss of Four Swords Adventures. So that game can't come before OoT.

When you start omiting thing as noncanon you start making the timeline to fit your own views rather than making one based on evidence. This is why I choose to believe there is no real timeline.

First off I said I DONT THINK....Second IT IS CONFIRMED BY MIYAMOTO HIMSELF....third THERE EVIDENCE IN THE GAMES THAT SUPPORT A TIME!!!!

At any rate I prefer to go with the legend idea that it's all the same story told in slightly different ways. All the games are pretty much the same story or a continuation of one of the stories. That is to say, none of the events actually happened on any official timeline, they're just variations of the same story. The Continuous Zelda Universe is not the universe you play the games in, but rather the universe where these stories are told.

 

Huh?? theres multiple hints that suggest a timeline, thats fact. Claudes is actually pretty dead on

He has a point about FSA. I forgot about Ganon with the Trident of Power from LttP, so it can't happen that early. Zelda does mention that he's an evil power reborn though, which just fuels the two Ganon theory. He seems to have a new background two so it is possible that this Ganon is completely different from the one in OoT.

Anyways there is a timeline. It's undeniable. Whether or not you choose to follow it is up to you.

I believe the ppl over on the GameFAQs GCN Twilight Princess Boards had it figured, right? They also prove pretty well that the GameTrailers video is wrong.

If you got a lot of time in your hands, check out lancun's videos on the zelda timeline on youtube. Many of his ideas have a degree of speculations (most, if not all, zelda timeline debates have that), but most of it makes a lot of sense, probably loads more than anything I've ever read or heard anywhere. And trust me I've read so many of those, read many 20+ pages of debates on different forums...The gametrailers timeline is rubbish, imo, don't bother watching it unless you want to practice counter points, lol.

My personal opinion is quite similar to lancun's since it's the theory I find to be the most logical... But Nintendo would need to clear up some stuff and fill some gaps. It goes like this:

MC-FS-OoT... Then there's the legendary timesplit...
Child Link ending: MM-TP-FSA-ALttP-OoA/OoS-LA
Adult Link ending:WW-PH-LoZ-AoL

I assume Spirit Tracks will be right after PH. Link and Tetra find a new land maybe?
