^^Thats the thing. It isnt bribing. Third world countries are treated as equals by China. Add that with The Developed worlds "lecturishness" and "lookdowness" attitude as well as history (Imperialism, colonism, slavery etc) and you'll get the picture. The third world sees China as its mouthpiece, a country that actually gives a damn about the oppressed. The thirdworld aint cumfy with America and Flat out HATES Europe (for obvious reasons). So who do they run to? who will give their students scholarships? who wont force conditions on them? who gives interest free loans? Who respects other peoples culture? Who has a vast market? who doesnt enforce unfair trade deals? who doesnt want to build bases on their soil? who doesnt have a history of proxy wars, destabilisation and government toppling? Who demands the third world gets more influence at the UN and IMF? China thats who. America and Europe are too status quo, we control everything, white people in the G8 onlyish and thats why the 3rd world prefers China.

China is bribing because he wants the African oil and mineral resources, and he wants allies, he wants to become a super-power and challenge the US and Europe.

Europe has been fantastic towards the Third world since post-WWII, giving loans that they never got back, giving foreign aid, respecting the culture, allowing 100 million Third world immigrants into Europe etc, but the Third world just gives shit and hate back.

So what can Europe do more? Nothing. China will bribe himself to power because Third world countries have corrupt leaders and low educated population.

Europe has been fantastic? LOOOL! What planet are you living on? European loans=credit trap, European trade deals=ripp off. Europe has been good? Tell that to the farmers ripped of by your EPAs, or the people who lost their jobs thanks to Europes "advice" (dont bail out failing companies), tell that to poor miners who have the price of THEIR minerals dictated by EUROPEANS, tell that to Africans whos corrupt leaders who stash their money in Swiss banks, tell that to the freedom fighters who died for independence LOOONG after world war too, tell that to Africans being ripped off by American and European multinations. Tell that to cocoa nut farmers who get peanuts so that spoilt obese kids in Europe can eat chocolate. And who are YOU to talk about pillaging resources? The Chinese pay us on OUR terms. We helped them to develop. If we weren't offering money for drilling and mining, all the stuff would still be in the ground, and they would be forced to live on just cattle and seed farming. U know it.

I hear alot of rhetoric in the media about how America is declining, China will be the next super power and so on but having lived there for 5 years i just don't see it.  People just look at China's current economic growth as though it existed in a vacuum and completely fail to ignore the social, cultural and political factors which ultimately must influence it's growth.

Now After reading that link. It should be pretty clear why the third world prefers China. And its also pretty clear that Europe has been anything but "fantastic".

For much too long Africans have displaced their own responsibility and accountability for the miserable circumstances the continent finds itself in onto others.

To this day African leaders are active participants in the systematic thuggery that continues to pillage the richness of natural resources, compromising the aims for social betterment and economic freedom. The scourge of corruption across the continent is stalling progress towards prosperity. After all endeavours for the renewal of Africa, the continent still remains a scar on the conscience of the world.

Start taking some responsibility for your own situation.

Look I know very well that Africans bring lots of shit unto themselves, but that doesnt change the fact that Europe brought lots of shit onto it too. Most (not all) African governments are corrupt, Im not denying that. But then again there lots of African governments who tried to genuinely want to help their people and protect theis resources, but they always end up dead and replaced by some western backed sellout (e.gg mineral rich Congo, Patrice Lumumba was killed in "unclear circumstances" and replaced by Mobutu who was supported by you know who -_-). and we all know what Congo is like today. Oh and Sarkozy was visiting recently to encourage "trade" and "secure interests". We all know what that means too -_-. Then comes Mugabe. One half sees him as a tyrant another sees him as a patriot who gave land stolen by colonialist back to the natives. Media portrays him as a monster but fails to mention Britain and the Lancaster agreement (I bet you dont know what that is). Europe in Africa=BAD period.
