Forums - Nintendo - DSi American Launch sales

How many units do you think the DSi (/DSLite) will sell this coming week in NA?

On a related subject I work at a Best Buy and I recently looked up how many DSi's our store would be getting for launch. We're a smaller store so we're gonna only get 12 of each color (24 total). Several stores in our district are getting 24 and 36 of each color (48 and 72). There are 17 stores in our district and as a district we're getting 252 Blue and 324 Black DSi's. Now this dosn't sound like much but we usually get 10 DS's a week (but on the other hand we get like 50 Wii's every two weeks pretty regularly).

Now I'm pretty sure stores like GameStop are gonna get even more stock in. So what kind of a launch are you expecting?

I'm looking for around 200-250k in NA but I would be suprised if I saw more.

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

i wonder if they will separate the lite from the dsi or if it will all be under ds

hello how are you.

It will start at 400 K (for its first week).

Well if what Reggie said was true, then it could be over 2 million. I reckon it will all be under DS tbh.
