Metacritic is not a reliable metric of quality anyway. I don't really see your point.

No? What should I use? Nintendo Power?

Your own opinion? And how about respect others'? ;)

One of the best games last gen (God Hand) received awful reviews. However, it's HUGE!!

View all Wii games by score

These are the top scoring 20 games on Wii according to Metacritic. 4 are guitar heros/rock band. Out of the 8 games to crack the 90% mark: 4 are Nintendo first party. 3(!) are Gamecube/PS2 ports. Leaving World of Goo the ONLY third party game not ported from last gen to score over 90.

You really, really don't have a problem with this? Fine. But don't bash on me for thinking the Wii can and should do better.

So you admit that good games sell well on the Wii? The question is, why aren't we getting more of them?

I respect peoples opinions but that doesn't mean I will equivocate.

@Mr. Y yes good games sell on Wii but they are almost all Nintendo made. Which means that we are pretty much dependant on them to keep the Wii as a viable playable console and not just a party gimmick.

So you admit that some (probably many) people find Wii Fit the greatest game ever made, or even BratZ, right?

I actualy don't see anything wrong with it! All your talk here is related to "Nintendo is killing video games" talk, and it doesn't make any sense... because if that's what the majority likes... who are you to find yourself superior to them?

Exactly as a former Gamecube owner excuse me if I don't get hyped over RE4, Radient dawn and Twilight Princess.

Even Brawl and MK Wii are so close to their GC counterparts they are practicly ports.

^People should not complain about the mandatory current-gen iteration of a popular game series.

Besides, the Super Smash Bros. series has the same fundamental gameplay across all games, so one should not complain about Brawl being "so close to the GC counterparts". There's no fault in creating a new iteration for each console, especially when the sales are increasing from game to game.

Especially since there is a new James Bond film every few years and each film follows the same fundamental formula. Millions of people watch those films, thus vindicating the creators' decision.

Graphics wise, sure. Content wise? I disagree.

Radiant Dawn is a completely new game. You wouldn't call Fire Emblem 7 a port of Fire Emblem 6, would you? They look exactly the same, which apparently is what classifies a port, not the content. As a HUGE Fire Emblem fan (having played 4-11), I'd say Radiant Dawn is the best FE - by far.

As for Brawl and MKWii... That's just laughable, sorry.
