Why?? none of the reasons point to 360 beating PS3 in lifespan

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
Points:
1.) I wouldn't say they were smarter if they were they wouldn't have had the rrod thing.
2.) Yeah, even if the PS3 was selling so badly that it was being pulled from American store shelves it will be the reverse when PS3 hits 6 to 7 million sold in Japan during the next fifteen months. So what does that mean? And, we would start to miss out on all those jrpg exclusives that will be heading the PS3's way once it establishes that large of an install base in Japan while the 360 will still be under 1.5 million. I would miss them. I like jrpgs more than shooters.
3.)When more Japanese games start to come to the PS3 as a result of what I outline in 2, you will see more diversity in third party games for the 360 and PS3.
4. ) Actually as far as exclusives go on 360 if game isn't called Halo or Gears or Fable on 360 it tends to have far fewer sales than most of the exclusives on PS3.
5.)releasing a year earlier typically means that you'll be the first to release your next console while the other system will probably be out longer. Genesis, SNES. Dreamcast, PS2.
Heavens to Murgatoids.
Even if this is a joke thread, those are some pretty valid points in the OP.
For all those that disagree, I'd love to see you offer a rebuttal for each of the five reasons listed in the OP.
To me, your points are telling me that their lifespan will be about the same. I dont expect to buy the next iteration of the Xbox or PlayStation until 2012 at the earliest. And even then, it could only just be an upgraded version of the 360 or PS3 - like a slim version with a few new features.
Also, in terms of first party selling power, if you want to put them side by side, I dont see any mainstream >5m games for Sony whereas MS has 3. Of course GT5 or God of War 3 but that milestone wont be reached until more than 1 year away.
I think Rol could be right, it is usually consumers that decide which console stays longer, and considering that 360 launched a year earlier it might as well have longer life.
