It was The Perfect Plan. Just didn't work out :)

Why don't you just swap games for a month or something?

I would love to do that... but my wii is not working at the moment, so i need to send it off for repairs. If i had ended up with those games however it would have motivated me enough to send it off to get fixed.

The only reason why u haven't got it fixed yet is because i haven't bought new games for it, and I' not willing to spend money on games when my console isn't working... however if it was a free game like madworld i would send it off in a heartbeat... and yes i know i sound cheap but times are hard right now

Go send your Wii off for it's free repair and then come back.

i would love to but its not free. warranty expired and i checked with nintendo they said it could cost either £30 or £70 to fix, but they wont know until they get it in

Sometimes when you send an expired console in to Nintendo they fix it and send it back without a charge.  If you had bought a bunch of VC games and registered a lot of DS and Wii games with Nintendo.com they would have looked up your record and not quoted a repair cost.

Send it in anyway and get it fixed.  It's well worth the time and whatever little money they charge.  Chances are you could argue out the bill with them when they call you to tell you the cost.  I've never heard of them being unreasonable.

Also, what's broke on the console?

basically my little cousin put something in the disc drive and i put a wii game in there without knowing and when i tried to turn it on it wouldn't go to the wii menu, then when i tried to eject the disc it refused to let it out. I eventually managed to get the disc out and managed to get to the wii menu, but then it wouldn't play any games and i can hear something rattling around in the wii.

If nothing is damaged and all they do is remove the loose thing that got shoved in there, I bet they won't charge for it.  Send it in and let us know what they find/say.  If anything it'll at least give you something to do.  In the meantime, go pick up Madworld for cheap if you want the game so badly.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

@OP
moral of the story. You were being a dick trying to play out plans and plots with family. I'm surprised that no one else thinks so.

However this was funny and you got off pretty light. I look forward to your next adventure.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

OH NOeZ!!!!!!The Wii has mature titles on it!!!!!! What were you thinking!?

you plan didn't backfire... it just never fired (though your uncle's gun sure is firing a lot from the looks of it =)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Can't You use the new receipt with your old broken Wii if it's no longer in warranty?

lol, looks like your plan backfired a little. I would send in the Wii and see how much it would cost (or possible not cost anything). If they call you up and say 70 and you don't have that money to spend just tell them you are broke and that you only have 20-30. Maybe you can negotiate a little reduction on cost. If not they can just hold it till you have the money. Unless you have a ton of VC/WW games then you might as well wait because I am sure you can still play those games.

Fail and Owned all in one
